In the weekly Jewish-Zionist Israel anti-Jewish measures are repeatedly commented upon. On 21 July 1938, after the appearance of the ‘Manifesto of Race’, the hope is expressed that the fascist regime would not pass anti-Jewish legislation. The weekly would be closed at the end of 1938.
